1.0 Introduction 1.1 Origin of the Report This report is prepared with the respect to course of Consumer Behavior. We are assigned to prepare a term paper by our honorable course instructor Mr. Farhan Faruqui. Our task is to make a survey on Micromax mobile and complete a study that covers all important factors of consumer behavior. 1.2 Objective of Study * To apply our knowledge that we have gathered from Consumer behavior course into the report * To provide the overview of Micromax mobile * To measure the business value of Micromax mobile * To give possible recommendation for Micromax mobile 1.3 Scope of the report This report is created on the basis of what people think about Micromax mobile. On July 28, 2011, Micromax has withdrawn its 4.66 billion rupees (about $106 million) initial public offering (IPO) due to volatile market conditions. The withdrawal was recommended by its board to allow therefore company to focus on new product launches and product development. Currently Micromax has released 5 Android Smartphone devices in the market. Company is supposed to release kernel source for their Android Smartphone as Android uses Linux kernel which is covered under GPL (General Public License). But company has not released the kernel source code for any of their Android devices till date and is believed to violate the terms of GPL. Users of Micromax Android Series phone e.g. A60, A70, A73, A75 amp; A85 are continuously asking the company to release kernel source code.
